Incident at Mehl Park on 10/4/18

Hi CVLL Fall Ball Families

Our 2018 Fall Ball season is in full swing!  We have over 175 kids playing either softball or baseball this fall with CVLL.  Lots of activity going on at the fields at Mehl every night between games and practices.  I hope you are enjoying the season so far.

I wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred at Mehl Park on Thursday night.  We had one of our CVLL players approached by a stranger at Mehl Park and was asked if they wanted to come to his car.  The incident took place near the bathrooms between Field 2 and the snack bar.  The player spoke to their parent about the incident but the stranger had already left the area.  The suspicious individual was an average height, Caucasian male,  wearing a grey hoodie and baggy black pants.  The incident was reported to the police.  The police officer, Officer Gradias, who responded to the incident asked that if anyone may have seen the individual or had their child approached by the individual to contact to him at:
520-484-3488
[email protected]

The TPD report # to reference is 1810040661.

There will be a police officer at the park for this Saturday's games.

Safety of our CVLL families and friends is our #1 priority.  If you ever see anything suspicious at the park, please let myself, your coach, and/or the folks at the snack bar know.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks
Bryan Shoemaker
